Inclusion Accelerator
Engaging, practical and designed for change, Gritty Talent’s Inclusion Accelerator Skills Bootcamp has been thoughtfully developed to turbo charge inclusivity in the creative sector. 12 leaders from creative sector organisations in Bristol and the South-West of England came together for a dynamic guided learning programme, delivered by Gritty Talent’s own senior leaders who are creative industry professionals and EDI (Equity Diversity and Inclusion) specialists. Covering topics such as culturally intelligent leadership, bias in decision making, accessibility, belonging and team culture, the programme supports leaders to develop through group work, peer-to-peer learning and is backed up by the creation of an action plan at the end of the course. Funded by the West of England Combined Mayoral Authority.
Virtual Production
A truly ground breaking venture for the South-West, these Skills Bootcamps took 152 creative from a host of disciplines through a structured programme specialising in either Unreal Engine or Sony Venice 2. Animators, film-makers, storytellers, artists, VFX specialists, camera operators, producers and academics, cross-pollinating in a vibrant series of collaborations to produce 2D and 3D films. Hosted at MyWorld part of the Bristol Digital Futures Institute, this was made to happen through a joyful partnership between the University of Bristol, Gritty Talent and Mars Academy and with funding from the West Of England Combined Mayoral Authority.
Post Production Runners
Gritty Talent partnered with four leading Bristol based Post Production houses, Home Post Production, Gorilla, Doghouse and Films@59, to run the first ever 8 week Post Production Runners Bootcamp. 16 learners were introduced to the fascinating world of Post Production through masterclasses in sound and vision, shadowing opportunities and guided visits to professional Post Production facilities. Supported by workshops in career mapping, CVs, networking and interview skills and inclusive team working, this bootcamp prepared our cohort to confidently step foot into the TV industry in entry level Post Production roles and Production Runner roles.
Broadcast to Branded
Responding to a rapidly changing landscape was the focus of this Broadcast to Branded Skills Bootcamp. A 9-week, industry-led journey designed for experienced TV and film freelancers ready to make their mark in branded content. Led by UWE and delivered by partners, Gritty Talent and Jones Millbank, 16 learners from both craft and editorial backgrounds mastered the art of creatively reframing themselves for a portfolio career that could turn their already admirable skills into assets for branded content production. Technical training, marketing know-how, client led projects and the knack of knowing how to pitch and brand yourself, form the backbone of this course. Funded by the West of England Combined Mayoral Authority.
