Gritty Talent Group Ltd is delivering this Skills Bootcamp in partnership with the Department for Education (DfE) and the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

We collect personal information from you as part of your application and, if accepted, for managing your participation in the Bootcamp.

We process this information on behalf of the DfE and WECA, who are the main “data controllers” for the Skills Bootcamp programme.

What data we collect

As part of your application, we will collect:

  • Contact details (name, email address, phone number, postcode)

  • Basic personal information (date of birth, gender, employment status, etc.)

  • Information required by DfE, WECA and the Learner Record Service to confirm eligibility

  • Additional information you choose to share about your interests, motivation, and what you hope to gain from taking part

We only collect information that is relevant to your application and the delivery of the Skills Bootcamp.

Why we collect your data

We use your information to:

  • Check your eligibility for the Bootcamp

  • Assess your application and, if successful, manage your participation

  • Monitor and improve the programme to ensure it meets learner needs

We do not share your personal comments or motivation statements outside of Gritty Talent. We will never sell your data or use it for marketing purposes.

Who we share data with

Some of the information you provide will be shared with:

  • The Department for Education (DfE)

  • The West of England Combined Authority (WECA)

  • The Learner Record Service (LRS)

How we store and protect your data

Your information will be stored securely by Gritty Talent on password-protected systems and will only be accessed by authorised staff.

We will keep your application data for up to one year after the end of the Skills Bootcamp, after which it will be securely deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you

  • Request corrections if any information is wrong

  • Ask us to delete your information (where possible)

  • Withdraw your consent for us to hold or use your data
